STEP 1
Unlock and remove the laptop battery.
|
|
|
|
STEP 2
Remove four screws securing the modem card cover, the memory cover, the wireless card cover and the hard drive cover on the bottom of the laptop.
Remove all covers.

STEP 3
Remove two screws securing the modem card to the motherboard. Carefully disconnect the modem card from the motherboard and disconnect the cable on the modem.
Disconnect the wireless card antenna cables and remove the wireless card.
If you have a memory stick, remove it.
Remove the hard drive. |

STEP 4
Remove one screw securing the DVD drive to the laptop case.
Slide the DVD drive out of the laptop. |
|
|
|
STEP 5
Remove all marked with red circles screws.
|
|
|
|
STEP 6
Start removing the keyboard securing strip with a sharp object.
|
|
|
|
STEP 7
Remove the keyboard securing strip.
|
|
|
|
STEP 8
Remove two screws securing the keyboard.
Lift up the keyboard from the laptop base.
|
|
|
|
STEP 9
Disconnect the keyboard cable on the motherboard and remove it from the laptop. |
|
|
|
STEP 10
Close the laptop lid.
Remove two screws securing the display hinges on the back of the laptop. |
|
|
|
STEP 11
Remove tape securing the cables to the laptop top cover.
|
|
|
|
STEP 12
Lift up the foil cover.
Remove one screw securing a metal plate over the memory module.
Remove the metal plate.
|
|
|
|
STEP 13
Remove the memory module.
Disconnect the power switch board cable, the touchpad cable and the speaker cable on the motherboard.
Pull the wireless card antenna cables through the opening in the top cover and remove it from the route on the top cover.
Remove one screw securing the right display hinge.

STEP 14
Disconnect the display cable on the motherboard.
Remove one screw securing the left display hinge. |
|
|
|
STEP 15
Carefully lift up the display assembly and remove it from the laptop.
|
|
|
|
STEP 16
Remove three screws securing the top cover assembly to the laptop base.
Disconnect the LAN board cable on the motherboard.
|
|
|
|
STEP 17
Separate the top cover assembly and the base assembly with a guitar pick. |
|
|
|
STEP 18
Remove the top cover from the laptop base.
|
|
|
|
STEP 19
Remove two screws securing the video chip heatsink and remove it from the motherboard.
|
|
|
|
STEP 20
Remove the hex studs on the side of the laptop.
|
|
|
|
STEP 21
Remove one screw securing the LAN board and disconnect the LAN board cables on the motherboard.
|
|
|
|
STEP 22
Lift up the LAN board and remove it. |
|
|
|
STEP 23
Remove three screws securing the motherboard to the laptop base. |
|

|
STEP 24
Start removing the motherboard.
|
|
|
|
STEP 25
Before you remove the motherboard from the laptop base, you have to disconnect the USB board cable on the motherboard.

|
STEP 26
Remove the motherboard with DC-IN jack and power cable.
|
|
|
|
STEP 27

Remove three screws securing a metal bracket to the motherboard and remove it.

Remove four screws securing the CPU heatsink to the motherboard.
|

Carefully lift off the CPU heatsink.
|
|
|
|
STEP 31
Remove two screws securing the cooling fan to the motherboard. |
|
|
|
STEP 32
Turn the motherboard over and remove one more screw.
Disconnect the fan cable on the motherboard.
|
|
|
|
STEP 33
Remove the cooling fan from the motherboard.
|
|
|
|
STEP 34
Unlock the CPU and carefully lift it off.
|
|
|

Done!
