Toshiba Portege M300 screen removal.
If you follow steps 1-3, you'll get access to the keyboard screws.
You can remove the keyboard if you remove two screws and unplug the keyboard cable from the motherboard. |

STEP 1
Turn off the laptop and remove the battery.
Using a flat head screwdriver, lift up the right speaker cover.

STEP 2
Remove the keyboard bezel.
|
|
|
|
STEP 3
Remove two screws securing display hinge covers.
Remove hinge covers.
|
|
|
|
STEP 4
Remove seven screw covers from the screen bezel.
|
|
|
|
STEP 5
You can remove screw covers using a sharp object or small flat head screwdriver.
Screw covers are sticky on one side. Glue screw covers somewhere on the screen bezel so they don't get lost.

STEP 6
Remove all seven screws found under those screw covers.
|
|
|
|
STEP 7
Start separating the screen bezel from the display cover. |
|
|
|
STEP 8
Remove the screen bezel. |
|
|
|
STEP 9
Remove one screw securing the black grounding cable to the right side of the LCD screen.
|
|
|
|
STEP 10
Place the LCD screen face down on the palm rest.
Disconnect the video cable from the connecto on the LCD screen.
Unplug the LCD backlight lamp cable from the right side of the inverter board. |

STEP 11
Remove and replace the LCD screen with a new one. |

STEP 12
The laptop display cover with LCD screen removed. |
