STEP 1
Turn off the laptop and turn it upside down.
Remove the battery.
Remove two screws securing the keyboard on the bottom of the laptop.

STEP 2
Start removing the keyboard bezel with a small screwdriver.
Continue removing the keyboard bezel with your fingers.

STEP 3
The keyboard bezel has been removed. |
|
|
|
STEP 4
Now you can access two screws securing the keyboard.
Remove both screws.

STEP 5
Carefully lift up the keyboard. |

|
|
STEP 6
The keyboard is attached to the motherboard via a flat ribbon cable.
You'll have to unlock the keyboard connector and remove the cable before removing the keyboard.

STEP 7
The keyboard connector has two parts: white base (permanently soldered to the motherboard) and brown locking clip.
In order to unlock the connector, move the locking clip towards the LCD screen about 2 millimeters.
The locking clip must stay attached to the connector base.

STEP 8
On this picture you can see the keyboard connector in the unlocked state.
Now you can pull the keyboard cable from the connector.

STEP 9
Remove the damaged keyboard and replace it with a new one.
