Toshiba Satellite P755, P755D, P750, P750D screen removal.

Also, check out my previous guide: how to disassemble the body.

STEP 1

Before you start taking apart the display assemble, make sure the laptop is turned off and battery removed.

You'll find four screw covers located in each corner of the screen bezel.

STEP 2

Remove all four covers with a sharp object and place covers in a safe place. Usually I glue them somewhere on the bezel.

You don't want to lose the cover.

Remove all four screws located under those covers.

STEP 3

Now start separating the screen bezel from the display back cover on the top of the display assembly.

I use my guitar pick for that. You can use a piece of soft plastic.

Insert the guitar pick under the screen bezel and carefully separate it from the back cover. There are hidden plastic latches holding both parts together.

STEP 4

Continue separating the screen bezel with your fingers.

STEP 5

After it's separated on the top of the display assembly, move to the bottom part.

STEP 6

Hinge covers are part of the screen bezel.

Insert a sharp object under the hinge cover and lift it up.

STEP 7

Now the screen bezel is separated from the display assembly.

Remove the bezel.

STEP 8

The web camera module is mounted above the screen. It's not a part of the screen.

Before you can separate the screen from the display back cover it's necessary to disconnect the cable from the camera.

STEP 9

Unplug the cable from the web camera module on the right side.

STEP 10

On the bottom side of the display assembly you'll find four screws securing the LCD mounting brackets to the display back cover.

Loosen (do not remove) all four screws.

When you loosen all four screws you'll be able to separate the LCD screen from the back cover as it shown on the following picture.

STEP 11

Remove three screws securing the LCD screen to the right hinge bracket.

STEP 12

Remove three more screws securing the LCD screen to the left hinge bracket.

STEP 13

Separate the LCD screen from the display back cover and place it face down on the keyboard.

STEP 14

Now you can access the video cable on the back of the screen.

As you see, the web camera cable is part of the video cable harness.

STEP 15

Carefully remove clear sticky tape securing the video cable connector.

Unplug the video cable from the LCD screen.

STEP 16

Now you can remove the defective/broken screen and replace it with a new LCD screen.

Assemble the laptop following this guide in the opposite direction.

STEP 17

You can find a new replacement screen for your Toshiba Satellite P755/P755D/P750/P750D laptop if you search by the original screen model number.

The model number is printed on the LCD screen label.

In my case I had the following screen installed. Model: LP156WH4 (TL)(A1).
