Toshiba Satellite P845 P845t disassembly.
In this guide I will show how to remove the bottom cover and access the cooling fan. |

STEP 1
Make sure the laptop is turned off before you start taking it apart.
Unlock and remove the battery.

STEP 2
There are three screws securing the hard drive and memory cover.
These screws are hidden under rubber seals.
|
|
|
|
STEP 3
Using a sharp object lift up and remove screw covers. |
|
|
|
STEP 4
When the cover removed you can access the hard drive and both RAM modules. |
|
|
|
STEP 5
Remove three screws securing the hard drive mounting bracket.
Slide the hard drive assembly to the right to disconnect it from the motherboard. |

STEP 6
Lift up and remove the hard drive.
If you are replacing the hard drive you will have to transfer the mounting bracket to the new one.
The mounting bracket secured by two screws on each side. |

STEP 7
Remove one screw securing the optical drive.
Slide the drive to the right and pull it out of the case. |
|
|
|
STEP 8
Remove all screws from the bottom of the laptop.
These screws also hidden under rubber plugs. |

STEP 9
Start lifting up the bottom cover and separating it from the laptop case. |
|
|
|
STEP 10
I'm using a guitar pick to separate the cover.
Insert it between two parts and move slowly along the side. |
|
|
|
STEP 12
Remove the bottom cover. |
|
|
|
STEP 13
When the cover removed, you can access the motherboard and cooling fan.
These should be enough for cleaning the fan. Simply blow off dust with an air compressor or canned air.
Also, you can access the wireless card. |
