Toshiba Satellite T235, T235D, T230, T230D screen removal.
Before you start the disassembly process make sure the laptop is turned off and battery removed.

STEP 1
Using a sharp object remove the screw cover located in the lower left corner of the screen bezel.
Remove the screw. |

|
|
STEP 2
Remove one more screw cover from the lower right corner of the screen bezel.
Remove the screw.
|
|
|
|
STEP 3
Carefully insert your fingers between the screen bezel and LCD screen and start separating the bezel from the display assembly.
You'll have to wiggle the screen bezel in order to unlock hidden latches.

STEP 4
Continue removing the bezel from the display assembly. |

|
|
STEP 5
The screen bezel removed on the top side of the display assembly. |
|
|
|
STEP 6
After you separated the screen bezel on the top side of the display assembly move to the lower side. |
|

|
STEP 7
Insert a screwdriver under the right hinge cover and lift it up. The hinge cover is part of the screen bezel.
Do the same with the left side of the bezel. |

|
STEP 8
Now you can remove the screen bezel from the laptop. |
|
|
|
STEP 9
Remove two screws securing the top side of the LCD screen to the display back cover. |
|
|
|
STEP 10
Loosen (do not remove completely) two screws securing the left hinge to the display back cover. |
|
|
|
STEP 11
Loosen (do not remove completely) two screws securing the right hinge to the display back cover. |

|
|
STEP 12
Now carefully separate the top side of the LCD screen from the display cover.
The web camera cable is glued to the back side of the screen. |

STEP 13
Unglue the web camera cable from the screen.
|
|
|
|
STEP 14
Remove three screws securing the right side of the screen to the mounting bracket. |
|
|
|
STEP 15
Remove three more screws securing the left side of the screen to the mounting bracket. |
|
|
|
STEP 16
Now you can separate the LCD screen from the display back cover and place it the front side down on the keyboard/palmrest assembly. |

|
STEP 17
The video cable connector secured with a clear sticky tape.
Carefully unglue the sticky tape from the connector. |
|
|
|
STEP 18
Unplug the video cable from the connector on the LCD screen. |
|
|
|
STEP 19
Now you should be able to remove the failed/damaged LCD screen and replace it with a new screen.
Assemble the laptop following all disassembly steps in the reverse order. |

|
STEP 20
You can find a new replacement LCD screen using the model number from the original screen.
