Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100 disassembly.

STEP 1
Turn the laptop upside down.
Remove the battery.
Remove four screws securing the memory cover, the bluetooth cover, the modem cover.
Remove all covers.

STEP 2
Remove the memory modules.
|
|
|
 |
STEP 3
Remove one screw securing the hard drive cover.
Remove the hard drive and the DVD drive. |
|
|
 |
STEP 4
Remove all marked screws on the bottom of the notebook. |
|
|
 |
STEP 5
Turn the notebook right side up.
Insert a thin object under the securing strip and lift it up.
Work with your fingers to release latches securing the keyboard strip.

STEP 6
Remove the keyboard securing strip. |
|
|
 |
STEP 7
Remove two screws securing the keyboard.
Lift the keyboard off the base.
|
|
|
|
STEP 8
Disconnect the keyboard cable on the video card and remove the keyboard.
|
|
|
 |
STEP 9
Remove two screws on the back of the notebook.
|
|
|
 |
STEP 10
Remove one screw securing the wireless card cover.
Lift off the wireless card cover.
|
|
|
 |
STEP 11
Disconnect the speaker cables on the system board.
Disconnect wireless card antennas and remove the card.
Disconnect the membrane switch cable on the video card.
Disconnect the video cables on the video card.

STEP 12
Carefully lift the top cover/display assembly off the base.
|
|
|
 |
STEP 13
Remove the top cover/LCD display assembly.
|
|
|
 |
STEP 14
Remove three screws securing the video card to the system board.
Lift off the video card to disconnect it from the system board. |
|
|
 |
STEP 15
Remove two screws securing the hard drive holder and remove it.
Remove five screws securing the CPU heatsink/fan module and disconnect the fan cable on the system board.
Carefully lift the cooling module off the CPU.

STEP 16
Remove two screws securing the battry board / power board to the systme board.
Disconnect two battery board cables on the system board.
Lift off the battery board with the RTC battery to disconnect it from the system board.

STEP 17
Remove one screw securing the sound board to the base assembly.
Disconnect two flat sound board cables on the system board.
Lift off the sound board with cables.
|
|
|
 |
STEP 18
Remove three screws securing the SelectBay cover.
Remove the SelectBay cover.
|
|
|
 |
STEP 19
Remove four screws securing the system board to the laptop base assembly.
Disconnect DC-IN cable on the system board.
|
|
|
 |
STEP 20
Lift off the system board and remove it from the notebook base assembly. |
|
|
 |
STEP 21
Unlock the CPU and carefully remove if from the socket. |
|
|
 |
STEP 22
Remove two screws securing the modem card to the system board.
Disconnect the modem card cable on the system board.
Lift off the modem card to disconnect it from the system board. |

STEP 23
DONE!
